Maybe the most partied-to instrument of all time, released in 1984, the TR-909 is one of the iconic Roland drum machines, and the first MIDI equipped drum machine. It is fully programmable, and like its predecessor, the TR-808, it can store entire songs with multiple sections, as opposed to simply storing patterns. Used by a slew of notable electronic and hip hop artists since its release.
